A Message From Pastor Rod
Praise the Lord for his faithfulness and his loving kindness. This last week we endeavored up the challenge to elect new National leaders to govern this people we call the United States of America. It is and was an awesome task. Yet with much pray, many hours of debate and discussion that election is over. I thank you for the part you played. God bless you. We the Election Day behind use a new challenge is before us. Our prayers must not cease, but rather with a great earnest I exhort you to pray for those who now have the rule over us. May God unite us. May he heal our land. And may He restore our first love. Today we will resume our series on the Book of Romans. We will be in Chapter 9 and with this chapter will begin a new division of the Epistle. Our how is to harvest some of the words of wisdom that have been stored away for us today. Romans 9 is dedicated to the understanding of the Jewish Nation or Israel. In these verses we find Paul’s passion for the salvation of his genetic family. We learn that not all who born to the Jewish race, not all are truly Israel in the Spiritual sense. We will come to see God’s privilege to select any people, group or nation to serve him uniquely to begin to pass God’s eternal plan. This choice comes not by merit or worth but rather by God’s pleasure alone. Consider Psalms 115:3. With these things as our foundation we will consider Gods choice of a people to serve him. |
